Trinity Graduate School of Apologetics and Theology

Today, I have just started my Master of Biblical Archaeology degree program offered at Trinity Graduate School of Apologetics and Theology, India. I am an avid reader and a serious student who is also blessed with the pen of a ready writer. One of my annual resolutions is to pursue a course that is relevant to my Christian ministry of preaching and teaching. As an apologist, I found it interesting to have a full course in Biblical Archaeology. This will help me to answer critics, sceptics, doubters and unbelievers as well as strengthen my faith in the Bible, the written word of God inerrant, inspired and authoritative.

I am really humbled by the Lord’s doing. My relationship with TGSAT goes back to 2010. After completing my Th.D studies in 2009, I spent some time seeking scholarships to study at universities in the USA and Europe. Unfortunately, such opportunities were never found until one day I just found myself browsing TGSAT website http://www.TrinityTheology.org. The information that was on the web seemed so much convincing but I was sceptical like Nathaniel and kept asking, “Can anything theologically sound come from India?”

Well, I thought of giving it a trial since I had been asking God to lead me to the right school. After my initial application, I later received a personal note from Dr. Johnson C. Philip (the man accredited with the vision of this great school) encouraging me to pursue my studies and invite just 5 more people to join the programs. I initially wanted to do a Post Graduate Diploma in Apologetics but he suggested that I begin with the Master of Biblical Studies. After my enrolment, I started devouring the course books that were sent to me by email attachment. I found the material to be of high quality and yet easy and simple to understand. The Academic Council of TGSAT has carefully chosen its course texts and I have never been disappointed with their studies. It is indeed a great school.

As a way of enhancing my academic expertise, I started teaching the same courses at our theological schools and due to the generosity of Dr. Philip; we were permitted to use the course books for our courses too. I have greatly benefited from the courses offered by TGSAT and I have to admit that the current myth that education is found only in expensive schools is a lie. Some people mistook government/secular accreditation with quality, but I have to tell you that TGSAT’s choice of offering us tuition free programs have proved itself to have at heart the needs of men and women serving the Lord in all the nations of the world. The secular government does not know what it means to train a Christian apologist, theologian or pastor.

This reminds me one time at our graduation ceremony. A professor from a secular university was asked to be the Guest of Honour. In his speech, he tried as hard as he could to twist the Bible to conform to feminist theology in the disguise of gender. He castigated churches that are male dominant as uninformed and in need of update. He went on to say that the government is seeking to empower women and so the church should do likewise. He also claimed that for a theology program to be sound, there was supposed to be enough women 50-70% enrolled in the program and giving the same responsibilities as men. Well he said a lot of nonsense though devoid of an Scriptural wholeness and I just said, “Wow, that’s why I will never seek a government accredited theological program because all you ever learn is trash!”

I have done several courses with TGSAT: Christian Journalism, MBS, MRE, DRApol and now the MBiArch degree. I look forward to continued studies with such a great school which is committed to the advancement of the ministries of the Gospel. There are no enough words to express my heartfelt gratefulness to the staff at TGSAT and their dedicated commitment and passion to theological higher education. Sadly, most pastors and church leaders would let this great school slid through their fingers simply because they want some government accredited stuff. Well, the choice can be yours but as for me, I would seize all opportunities available at my disposal that will help me become the person God wanted me to be. I will seek and pursue any theological course that will enhance my preaching and teaching abilities. I have learned to be a better theologian and apologist because of TGSAT.

I have learned to admire and respect the staff of TGSAT. Each time, I get timely responses to questions about the programs, feedbacks, etc. My mentors Drs. Philip and Cherian have done a great job in helping me to be a better Christian Apologist and Theologian as well as a writer. Most of the titles of my 20+ books have been a result of some truths that I have learned at TGSAT and in particular, from the writings of these two esteemed professors, my mentors.

I have made it my personal habit to talk about TGSAT and share it with anyone willing to further his theological work. Even my students know that after completing our programs, the next place is to find one’s self at TGSAT. This is a great school and worthy of commendation. If you happen to be reading this note and you are still undecided of whether to study at TGSAT or not, remember, I was once sceptical as you, but as can be evidenced by the number of programs I have studied at TGSAT, surely the school is a great school.

Above all, I have learned to be a disciplined student. Trinity not only teaches you the Bible, but as you learn to develop some study habits, setting aside time for prayers and studies, the studies fosters in you a spirit of discipline. As a student from the third world, I have found that my English has greatly improved by reading the modules and writing my assignments.

I am also proud to be a member of Trinity Graduate School of Theology Zimbabwe’s committee since 2010. May the Lord continue to bless this work and provide more faithful labourers and resources needed to further the cause of Christ is my prayer.

If you would like to study a Trinity Graduate School of Apologetics and Theology, please visit their website at www.TrinityTheology.org and start studying. All you ever need is a computer and access to the internet. You can download the course modules and save them to your flash drive or CD and can always study offline and sent the assignments by email. There are great mentors there too and I can also mentor you in some programs.

There is no end to theological higher education. Lets’ have trained pastors and church staff that is equipped to lead our churches today and combat the pagan philosophies prevalent in the supposed Christian churches of today which are defecting to liberalism and heresy.

  4. Are they seeking accreditation. To some accreditation is important especially to those who are pursuing education, not for enrichment but for scholarly recognition and credibility
